Welcome to my world of
floating thoughts..

downhillcarver asked: Hahaa, ignore igniteloove, he apparently wants to get a rise outta people. He just left basically the same message in 2 other people's ask boxes. Yes, clothes do effect your climbing, just like any sport. You don't wear sandals for running, jeans for swimming, or baggy clothes for climbing. Wear whatever keeps you comfortable, and allows you to perform.

lol Already have been ignored. But I figured he/she would do that. ;)

igniteloove asked: AS IF WEARING CLOTHING INTERFERES WITH YOU GETTING TO THE NEXT HOLD.

Might I suggest you actually try doing something before you pass judgement?

When the climbing gym is 80 degrees, with no air conditioning, and the body heat of the other climbers is circulating, causing you to sweat in addition to the sweat from the work out and nerves of not falling.. yes, the sweaty shirt sticking to your skin preventing you from stretching to the next hold fluidly, interferes.

Get. Over. It.

Spent a lot of time climbing today. Had to take advantage of the empty gym. ^.^

jessicaleahlu-deactivated201206 asked: awh thank you! I saw that you rock climb? how was it starting out? I wanted to get into that this summer.

:))) climbing is the most rewarding sport I’ve ever tried. Aside from being a great workout, it really teaches you patience, confidence, and acceptance. And when I say acceptance, I mean that some days you get so physically and mentally worn out, you’re unable to complete a route you’ve worked so hard on. You learn that you didn’t fail, and it’s ok to try again the next time you’re back, and until you kill it!!

Starting out was difficult, because I was unsure of the technique, unsure of my strength, and scared of falling. I had to condition myself to practice as many VB’s as possible before moving on. This meant completing the same route multiple times, and each time differently.

You’ll definitely get addicted. And just come to terms you’ll bruise yourself up and get the most gnarly looking hands the more you go.

GOOD LUCK!!!

lol Hi Ryan! I’m Aimee, nice to meet you. Strange because my ex brought me closer to God, introduced me to climbing, and is named Ryan. :P Have a fabulous weekend, and looking forward to your posts!! God bless. :)
